How Fireworks Are Made

 Today we will be learning how to make fireworks. The first step to making a firecracker is rolling up a piece of paper to make it look like a tube then they put gunpowder in it, they might also be filled with flash paper and fuse. When you light the fuse of a firecracker, it burns along the fuse. Instead of sparklers made bright, sparkly light for a minute. That is how fireworks are made, Hope you learned something new today.

Diwali Persuasive Writing

 I think that people should celebrate Diwali, because it is part of a religion and it is part of the peoples culture. It does go all night and people need sleep but think of it as a good cost. Celebrating Diwali is like celebrating our holidays like Easter, Christmas, Halloween, New Year, Matariki and more. That is why Diwali is celebrated by these people.

 I am going to camp next week and I am feeling excited because this is my first camp I am going to. What I have to bring is 

• Clothes ( For 3 days )
• Pillow
• Sleeping bag
• Tog and towel
• Pajamas
• Toiletries
• Water bottle 
• Plastic bag/Rubbish bag
• Hat
• Packet of biscuits for shared supper
• Sunblock
• Rain Coat
• Suitable outdoor footwear 
• Packed lunch for first day
• Jacket
• Torch

My family has discussed this with me and said it is good that I get to go to camp. I think that my group will work well together. I think the video of Raglan is cool and I can't wait for camp!.

At The End Of The Driveway

 At the end if the driveway the world forms,

At the end of the driveway the world is changing,

Kids planting and kids swimming,

Kids playing their faces going red,

In Summer and Spring,

Kids have fun.

Inside their homes their reading . Inside their rooms kids are painting,

Not yet seeing, not yet knowing

That what's gone is a new beginning

That what begins is already growing

Quick then quicker

Adults, with their glasses

driving in cars to adult places

 How do you feel watching these hakas? or how do you feel performing haka.? Describe the emotions you feel. I feel happy that people tried to fit in and try to do the hakas.

I feel a little nervous the first time I perform something but I get used to it.

The emotions I feel are nervous, proud and happy because i'm a kiwi and i'm proud to be able to do the haka.

The Polynesian Dawn Raids

 Everyone should have the right to protest. We should be allowed to... have some sleep and then in the morning they come in and ask if they can see our pass port nicely. Instead they barge in and see our pass port like so early in the morning.

In the early morning at that time everyone is tired and they all don't listen properly. So that is why I think people should get more sleep and for the government to knock on doors in the morning not in the middle of the night like they did in the dawn raids.
